|  | You will be provided with a horse and tack for the duration of your stay. Horses are suited to the rider and will be changed regularly, as horses need to be spelled. You will learn how to saddle and care for your horse. You will be instructed how to drive the cattle throughout the day. All meals (breakfast, morning smoko, lunch, afternoon smoko and evening meal) are provided. | Lunch is provided from the back of the "tucker" wagon and everyone given a chance to have a ride in the wagon at any stage if they feel that they are a little saddle sore. Transfers to and from the Cattle Drive Camp to arrival and departure points are also included in the daily rate. How to get to Aramac  | Aramac is located in Central Western Queensland. Aramac can be reached by car with sealed roads in all directions leading into town. From the south and west drive along the Matilda Highway to Barcaldine and follow the signs to Aramac 61.5kms north. From the east travel along the Capricorn Highway to Barcaldine and follow the signs to Aramac 61.5kms north. From the north travel along the Flinders Highway to Torrens Creek then take the Aramac/Torrens Creek Road for 270kms to Aramac. Other transport options available include plane, coach, train travel to Barcaldine or Longreach and then transfers will be provided to Aramac and the Harry Redford Cattle Drive Camp Site. | Qantaslink operate flights into Barcaldine and Longreach. Three flights a week to Barcaldine and daily flights to Longreach. Greyhound Coaches operate daily overnight services from Brisbane to Barcaldine or Longreach. Paradise Coaches operate ftwice weekly services rom Rockhampton to Barcaldine. The Spirit of the Outback (Queensland Rail) travels to Barcaldine and Longreach twice a week. If you are travelling by car from North Queensland, you can take the inland route via the Torrens Creek Road. REX Aviation offer flights Townsville to Longreach twice weekly. For those from the Southern States, connections for all air, coach, train services operate from Brisbane. |
